Mihlali Ndamase says she's in a happy relationship, and among other things money was not the deciding factor when she started dating her partner, businessman Leeroy Sidambe.

In 2022 the beauty influencer and content creator trended for her love life.

On episode 7 of Unfollowed on Showmax she told host Thembekile Mrototo that she's a talking point because people want to find fault.

“The only thing I will say about that is that when people have nothing to come at you about then they are going to find something to constantly dig at you, they are going to try to find something that may be a weakness that they'll constantly dig at you, and honestly people's opinions have nothing to do with my reality.”

“I'm in a happy relationship, and I'm very much in love and that's all people should know.”

Tongues have been wagging about her new relationship after people speculated Leeroy was not legally divorced.

On the episode Mihlali said it was Leeroy who decided to date.

“I happened to click with him, we had chemistry and we fell in love and then that happened.”

When asked if him being married didn't raise concerns, she said it did raise concerns.

“I have my own money. Are you mad,” said Mihlali after being asked if she was with Leeroy for his money.

Leeroy recently professed his love for Mihlali. A video of his Instagram Live surfaced on X and has since gone viral.

“Shout-out to my beautiful wife Mihlali Ndamase,” he said before explaining people misinterpreted their love and that it was Mihlali who was spoiling him.

In an interview with Nounouche, Mihlali, who leads a private life, said she wished her relationship had not come to light with a scandal attached to it, but she was not bothered by people's opinions.

“The timing to post each other was not right. He posted and I reposted his story. People will always have their opinions. It doesn’t affect me,” she said.

On the notion that she “stole” a man from another women, she set the record straight.

“Another important thing is that men are not possessions. You don’t just take and run with it. People are responsible for themselves. We make it seem like these men cannot think for themselves and in that regard we never hold them to the same standards we hold women.”
