'God is on the throne' — T'bo Touch's high school names an arts centre after him

Congratulations are in order for radio jock and businessman T'bo Touch who has been honoured by Bishop Grimes High, the private school he attended.

“Twenty-four years later, the prestigious private Catholic school ‘Bishop Grimes High’ @bishopgrimes, its board of directors and management has chosen to honour your boy from Sharpeville by renaming its arts centre the 'Thabo Molefe Centre of Arts and Music’,” he posted on Instagram.

“The legacy of Robert and Majorie Winston Jones, who raised me through those high school years, will forever live through this milestone achievement. Never underestimate the power of humble beginnings. God is on the throne. #whatatimetobealive #cobraalumni.”

T'bo Touch hosted the second instalment of the Replenishment Concert in September.

“I would have gone into ministry a long time ago. I knew I was going to have my church before I turned 40, but I told God I need him to use me differently. I need to be result-driven and demonstrate what I know,” he told TshisaLIVE.

Whether it be on radio, MCing or in business, the media personality has been engulfed in ministry. 

“I never realised the gift of salvation is deeply rooted in me to such an extent that I started to make my whole DNA of radio or anything of publication. I'll never shy away from the parameters of grace. This is something I was born into. I need to share the love of God.”
