Phumlani Njilo says he's ready to take on NaakmusiQ after winning his second celebrity boxing match.
On Sunday Phumlani knocked out Skeem Saam actor Pholoso Mohlala in the second round of their bout at the International Convention Centre in Durban.
“It feels great being crowned champion twice. My hard work at the gym is paying off,” he told TshisaLIVE.
“Pholoso did well in the ring. I was surprised at how hard he hits and how technically sound he was. I thought it was going to be a much easier fight. I’d want to see him in the ring with someone such as Priddy Ugly, who lost against Cassper [Nyovest] last time.”
Phumlani has been a white collar exhibition fighter for five years and has seven wins and one loss under his belt.
Last April he won his bout against Big Zulu and now wants to get into the ring with NaakmusiQ, who won his match against Cassper in 2022.
“Naak will not be easy to knock out. He's got a strong chin, but he will not last more than four rounds in the ring with me.”
