The Real Housewives of Durban star Nonku Williams is on a mission to encourage her followers on their spiritual journey after launching the first episode of her weekly Instagram series.

The reality TV star, who has a Diploma in Systematic Theology, was infamous for her Bible references during her stint on the reality show.

Speaking to TshisaLIVE, Nonku said after giving her life to the Lord in 2002, she hadan audible” encounter with God and always knew she had to serve him.

“Over the years I struggled going into my full calling, always saw myself as unworthy,” she said.

“During my married years, I decided — out of love for God — to undertake a course in theology. Those three years of studying about God and His word were the best years of my life! Even after all that I struggled to walk into my God's purpose.

“I doubted myself, and my marriage falling apart due to abuse was another contribution, as I started drinking during my separation. Basically I started living like a person who wasn’t saved. Not once did God leave me, I also never stopped loving Him. In all the mess I got myself into, God always pulled me out of it and has given me so many chances. I know now, more than ever, the time is now to walk into God’s full purpose and to do [what] He called me to do.”

Nonku describes her spiritual journey as aroller coaster”.

“Backsliding so many times but never for once not aware of God’s presence, love and grace over my life.

“I believe that God has placed me on the platform I am on, with so many followers to preach the word of God, and the souls of some people would be on my hands. I just want to do the will of God.

“I envision myself as an evangelist, reaching out to women all over the world and sharing my own story of the things I have experienced and overcome, and, of course, preaching Jesus.”
