DJ Gazza is on a mission to cement his name as a renowned DJ and producer. The strides he's made in his career have been a build-up to that achievement.
.
The Ekurhuleni-born star recently dropped his single Inkanyezi, featuring Ciza and Chley.
“The song is not my first. Music has always been part of my journey. It is a song of love and hope,” he told TshisaLIVE.
Gazza is an all-star DJ. He can play old school house, kwaito, deep house and amapiano, depending on the atmosphere in the venue in which he’s booked.
Gazza, real name Xolile Magagula, has been hosting exclusive events for more than two decades, including his Wonderland and Roland Garros events.
“I’ve been hosting events for 21 years. I did my first event at my parents’ house when I was in matric. Due to demand from people I had to start hosting events at bigger venues, and the rest is history.”
He told TshisaLIVE what he believes constitutes a good event.
“Know your crowd and deliver to their expectations. I sell an experience more than a line-up because I have learnt from my consumers. You also need to master how to curate your event and line-up and ensure you’re sound is top notch.
“My most memorable event was the Roland Garros event at Wanderers Stadium. It was a premium event. It was fun but challenging to plan,” said Gazza.
Every season Gazza does a community initiative by ploughing back to the needy. He donates school uniforms and materials, food parcels, clothes and blankets.
