Mthembeni Ndevu, popularly known as Emtee, has confirmed he and his wife, Nicole Chinsamy, have rekindled their marriage.

This after the rapper moved out of the flat he shared with Nicole, and was staying with a friend in Fourways after filing for divorce early last year.

Emtee is father of three children he shares with Nicole — son Avery, born in 2015, son Logan, born in 2018, and one-year-old daughter Nairobi.

In a recent interview on Podcast and Chill, Emtee said he was happy to be reunited with his family.

“I'm fighting for my family. [She] gave me three kids. We are still working on it. I got a bit of counselling,” he said.

“We met a couple of times and we spoke. Through us meeting and talking we decided let's build our family. When we were apart for those few months I was depressed.”

Emtee has gone live on Instagram to broadcast his relationship woes, but said he regretted doing that.

Speaking of how fatherhood changed his life during his sit-down on the L-Tido Podcast, Emtee said he wanted to set a good example for his children.

“Fatherhood has changed me in a lot of ways, how I treat other people. I don't want anybody f*cking with my children, or somebody is going to die. I treat people with respect, and they witness that. I don't refuse any pictures.

“I want my children to learn that no matter what position you're in, in life always respect people. They know that about me. F*ck all that other sh*t. My children know me for who I really am.”
