TV star Siyabonga Shibe has found a new acting role.
Shibe has been on the small screen for more than two decades, landing his debut role in the early 2000s in the youth drama series Gazlam. Now he stars in Mzansi Wethu's drama series Sibongile & the Dlaminis as Njengaye.
TshisaLIVE caught up with Shibe to chat about his role as an acting coach.
"I can't mention which actors are my clients but I get a lot from my circle as an actor. Most of them come to me to improve their character, to explore their characters or if they feel their character needs more work to be brought to life. I do that for upcoming and well-established actors,” he said.
“I'm shooting the second season of Sibongile & the Dlaminis and it has been amazing. I've moulded well into my character on the show.”
There has been speculation about him joining Mzansi Magic's Umkhokha: The Curse.
“It's not true that I'm joining Umkhokha. A lot of people don't know Sibongile and the Dlaminis and Umkhokha are under one production company, Rhythm World. I'm sure the news comes from my association with cast members of Umkhokha, I mingle with everyone on set.”
Shibe said his fans have a lot to look forward to, as he's been working on international projects which would be unveiled soon.
“I'm doing a lot of things. I'm focusing on international films which will be soon completed. I can't mention them due to clauses in the contract.
