'I've concluded it's time to move on' — Lebo Keswa on ending her marriage to actress Letoya Makhene

Lebo Keswa has announced her marriage to actress Letoya Makhene has come to an end.

Sunday World reported their marriage was allegedly laced with abuse, drugs and infidelity. The publication alleged Letoya scalded Lebo with boiling water, battered her with an ironing board and threw a vase at her in their marital home in Randfontein.

“I've concluded it's time to move on and pick up the pieces of what's left to try to live the most joyful and satisfied life imaginable,” Lebo said in a statement shared with TshisaLIVE by her publicist Pearl Chauke. 

“Her marriage had ended in a toxic relationship. For the sake of their mental health, livelihood and the wellbeing of their children, Lebo has taken a decision to dissolve the marriage. She made this decision graciously and with gratitude for the time they spent together.

“Both families have been notified and agree and support their decision to end their relationship. It was a difficult decision to make and even more heartbreaking to announce.”

Chauke said the matter was undergoing a legal process and she could not share more details. 

Speaking to TshisaLIVE, Lebo said; "Kindly note that I unfortunately can not give anymore than what’s on the Sunday World article as my doing so will be going against my legal and reputational risk advisors."

Repeated attempts by TshisaLIVE to contact Letoya for comment in response to the report were unsuccessful at the time of publishing this article.
