Sibiya, or “Mr Magic” as he's fondly known in the radio industry, told TshisaLIVE radio is his life.
“I've paved a way for a lot of people inside and outside radio, but the question is ubuya nini emsakazweni? [when are you coming back on the radio?], and my response is simple: it's not over until God says so,” he said.
“I want to be on radio, it's not a lie — but I'm aligning myself through my podcast, which I'm starting soon. I'm going to be back on radio, I have faith in that. I feel I still have a lot to offer. People are going through a lot in this era and it ain't even funny.”
Sibiya spent 18 years on Ukhozi FM before being fired in 2014 after allegations of fraud. It was alleged that retail company Edcon paid R1.8m to a company he owned, sponsoring an event to honour Ukhozi FM legends.
Last year he became a member of the EFF in KwaZulu-Natal.
