eTV's drama series Isiphetho is reaching out to its fans on Sunday at a meet and greet session in Disoufeng, Soweto.
Cast members are set to go on a countrywide tour to reach out to fans, after the show went live in April 2024.
The series is shot in the heart of Soweto amid the vibrant community of Mzimhlope, and the storyline is about the lives of four friends who were bound by a life-changing secret during their teenage years.
Nyiko Bilankulu from Black Brain Pictures told TshisaLIVE they want to interact with their fans.
"Three months of the show since the launch and Black Brain Pictures wants the cast to meet the people who watch every time we have a new show. Our fans have proved their loyalty towards the series by staying glued to their screens. There is no better way to interact with them than our community outreach programme alongside our 'Meet and Greet", he said.
Bilankulu said since Isiphetho is a Soweto-based story they want to begin their tour in the township.
"Next will be Limpopo and then Gqeberha and KwaZulu-Natal. We are sitting on 3.5-million viewers and our aim is to reach at least a 5-million viewership before the end of the year. We want to build the series in a way that viewers can relate to the show", he said.
Mandla N is an award-winning film maker, music composer and creative director with more than 17 years' experience in the entertainment industry. The creator of Isiphetho -Destiny bought the former Urban Brew studios on Hartley in Randburg, calling them Media City. During a recent interview on Radio 2000, Mandla N said he bought the building and received the title deeds.
His production company also handles the eTV series Isitha.
