Zanele Potelwa is set to make her debut on Monday as the new drive-time host on 5FM.
The media personality's first stint at the radio station was in January 2016. After two years, she left for a year in 2018 and returned in April 2019, occupying the 1am to 4am slot on week days.
In 2020, Zanele moved on to doing traffic on the Roger Goode Show which later saw her entrusted with the lunchtime slot in 2021 which she has occupied to date.
On Sunday Zanele took to her timeline to announce she was excited to take over the drive-time show alongside Nick Archibald, who will move from the Top 40 on 5 to co-host the show and anchor traffic.
“From dreaming about one day doing a daytime show on a commercial radio station when I was listening to my audio at TuksFM years back, to getting to take on this incredible honour. (How faithful is God?) Oh my word,” she wrote.
“It’s about to be a beautiful journey and I hope you’ll come along for the ride with us, my loves. Tomorrow is such a personal day. Please do join us. Let's go. There are so many people who made this happen, from the moment I fell in love with radio and yoh, I’m grateful for every single one.”
