Music duo Durban's Finest brought the house down with their performance at the Metro FM and BET's Any Given Sunday musical event at Oceans Mall in Durban at the weekend

Durban's Finest comprises two of Durban's most popular disc jockeys, Mthokozi Khathi who is fondly known as DJ Tira, and DJ Sox, whose real name is Mbuso Sokhela.

The event featured Metro FM radio DJs Morda, Junior De Rocka, Nomfundo Moh, Amanda Black and many more.

Any Given Sunday attracted thousands of music fans visiting the city for the weekend. Durban's Finest played songs from their previous albums.

Speaking to TshisaLIVE, DJ Sox said the performance signified their dominance in the music scene and brought back great memories of when they started.

“The show went well, everybody enjoyed themselves. Maybe later on this year we might release a song or two as Durban's Finest, just need to prioritise time management since we are very busy individuals on other music avenues,” he said.

Wozobona Media founder Paul Mdiniso said the event was to showcase Durban and what the city can offer to tourists.

“It was a luxurious event and guests were easily in for a treat of what we can offer as the city of Durban,” said Mdiniso.

“Any Given Sunday was designed for elite socialites, entrepreneurs, professionals and executives to network over a gourmet Sunday lunch. Attendees got sophisticated ambience with smooth sounds at luxurious venues across the city, each offering a unique view and feel of the city.”
