Deep house DJ Funkdeepstar has branched out into the sound equipment hiring business.
The DJ, real name Machela Motumo, popularly known for his Soul Candi compilations, has been in the music scene since 2003.
After having an opportunity to be signed under two of the most influential dance record labels in South Africa — Soul Candi and House Afrika — he had an opportunity to play throughout the country and the continent.
The Matoks-born DJ told TshisaLIVE his sound equipment business, Thakgowa Events Management, has helped him spread his wings in the music industry,
“In this journey I encountered venues that had the best sound system in the game and some that had some of the worst sound systems a DJ would ever want to see.
“I invested in buying a proper sound system and other apparatus to earn extra cash.
“We have two branches, one in Gauteng and one in Limpopo. We provide sound hire services to all who require our professional services. With regards to pricing, our competitive pricing packages are available to the public through our social media pages.”
