Following The Mommy Club finale, Showmax has introduced a spin-off show called The Mommy Club: Sugar & Spice, set to premiere on Showmax on August 8.
The show follows affluent mothers in Durban's Indian community as well as their extended families, which include grandparents, godmothers and siblings.
Abigail Nepaul, 41, Asharia Parsad, 27, Christina Devraj, 26, Devina Knowles, 43, Kim Jones, 33, Lenore, 45, Neetasha, 36, and twins Losh and Resh Naidoo, 45, who are all newcomers to the world of reality TV, are the cast.
Before the debut, The Mommy Club cast members shared advice to the new stars on what to expect.
“For me, it is straightforward. I believe the ladies need to fully be themselves. I am fully myself and that is how people connect with me. By being yourself and showing up authentically, you attract like-minded people and the world will have to adjust to who you are,” Happy “Her Majesty” Simelane said.

By being yourself and showing up authentically, you attract like-minded people and the world will have to adjust to who you are,” Happy “Her Majesty” Simelane said.
“By being authentic your story will touch people. When you open up about your flaws and challenges, you are helping other women who are going through similar situations. So do not be embarrassed to open up as much as you are comfortable.
“Chasing perfection is not the answer. Do not try to be something you are not because it will backfire. If people react to you, good or bad, they should do so because of who you are and not because of a character you are playing.”
Mpumi “Mrs Mops” Mophatlane said it was important for a reality TV star to know who they are before joining the show.
“Authenticity is key, so be yourself at all times and enjoy the process. Being in The Mommy Club is a privilege and it comes with a lot of perks. You can promote your business, like I do with my skincare line, Nala Reign. You also get to meet other moms who are just as fabulous and ambitious as you and you can show the world your life as a mom and boss babe. So sit back and enjoy the ride.
“There will be tough times, but always remember your why — that will make it worth it.”
Ratile Mabitsela echoed these sentiments: “They should have fun with the show, they should be authentic and they should bring the glam.”
