Former Zone 14 actor Mduduzi Mabaso is taking on a new role.
Mabaso, popularly known as Suffocate from his role on e.tv's Rhythm City, is now part of House Of Zwide, also on e.tv, while it is rumoured that Vusi Kunene is leaving.
Earlier this year, Mabaso starred as Prince Andile on BET Africa's Queendom, then the series allegedly couldn't pay its cast members and crew. The drama series was halted after two months of nonpayment by Clive Morris Productions.
In an e-mail to TshisaLIVE, e.tv executive producer Tebogo Nkwana said: "Please note that we will be issuing a press release regarding your queries below. Comms will be shared with media including yourself before COB [close of business] Friday July 19."
A social media post circulated that reads: "Suffocate joins House Of Zwide. Former Rhythm City actor Mduduzi Mabaso has joined House Of Zwide following actor Vusi Kunene's rumoured departure."
