Big Zulu says he's unimpressed with the behaviour of gospel singer Dumi Mkokstad after he insisted on halting the game at the fourth instalment of his celebrity soccer tournament on Sunday.
The event, which showcases gqom, gospel and hip-hop acts playing a friendly soccer game, saw the two stars engage in a heated argument at Tsakane Stadium over DJ Tira including professional players in his team instead of having amateur players.
After Dumi and his other team of gospel singers lost the game to the gqom team, he refused to allow the tournament to continue.
“It's not nice, especially for my fans, they are the ones that I feel for the most because, in soccer, there is no rule that allows someone to sit on the field and refuse to get off the field. They lost. It's just that we didn't have the power to forcefully remove him but the way he decided to do things was very hurtful,” Big Zulu told TshisaLIVE.
“He started all of this last year when he brought professional players to his team. And he won the tournament and we never tried to halt the game. But ... we left him.”

Big Zulu said he was not sure if he would continue with the tournament if he had to deal with artists like Dumi.
“Thina Zungu also posted saying there was no reason for them to refuse to get off the ground. That's someone who was on his team. The game is just about artists having fun, so for him to do things the way he did — being stubborn, refusing for people to play in the final, he ruined the game — it hurts, especially for the fans. It was a disaster.”
After social media users called for Dumi to be cancelled for the way he conducted himself, he took to his timeline to defend himself.
“As a football player I respect the sport and the football rules. Rules are rules! Gqom team broke two rules today and won unfairly. Rules say you can only have one of the above players, not all of them.
“Lastly, the ruling committee ruled in favour of the gospel team, where gqom was found to have won unfairly.”
