Comedian Celeste Ntuli has encouraged Bongani Fassie, son of the late legendary pop star Brenda Fassie, to make his return to the music scene as a rapper.

Celeste took to her social media to speak about his late mother's legacy.

“I'm reaping from Celeste and Big Dudes because of his mom. You know I partied with your mom on weekends, for real. I'm 44 nicabanga nginomyaka ongaki (How old am I) and it is endorsed.”

Speaking to TshisaLIVE, the Empangeni-born comedian said she was is glad Bongani is showing signs of getting back to music.

“I was paying homage, but seeing him felt like I was getting a nod for my hard work in comedy. I had to motivate him because I saw someone who has matured and you know adulthood paves a lot of positivity. It was a beautiful moment. I hope he'll jump when he is ready but it looks like he's going to make his comeback soon.”
