Melusi Mbele lands a new role on ‘Butcher’s Soul’
Former Scandal! actor Melusi Mbele has found a new role to sink his teeth into.
The award-winning actor has joined Showmax's Butcher's Soul, a series which will air on August 2.
In Butcher's Soul, a butcher is granted seven days by the “Angel of Death” to bring her guilty souls in exchange for his daughter’s life.
The Butcher’s Soul is directed by Kagiso Samuel Leburu, who won the Made for TV Film Safta for his debut feature, Okae Molao, and also debuted Month End at Durban International Festival this month. Four-time Safta winner Adze Ugah from Shaka iLembe is the stunt director.
The actor took to his timeline announcing the news with his fans.
“Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you The Butcher's Soul.”
Mbele is set to star alongside seasoned actors including Katlego Danke, Vuyo Dabula, Zinhle Mabena and Tshepo “Howza” Mosese, among many others.
Mbele bid his farewell on etv's Scandal! last month to explore other opportunities. He first broke into the industry when featuring on Mzansi Magic's (DStv 161) Isibaya in September 2021 as one of the three Kubeka siblings.
