Zenzele Mbokodo's Women In Action Awards is gearing up for its eighth event. The ceremony is to take place on August 10 at Westville Civic Centre, Durban. The awards are for outstanding women making a difference in society.

Organiser Tamarah Shange told TshisaLIVE it has been an honour to witness the growth and impact they've made in empowering women.

“I would like to remind everyone, especially women, to attend our event and their participation will be crucial to our success. I encourage them to take an active role in shaping our future.

“This awards ceremony will take place concurrently with our Women's Day celebrations, making it a momentous occasion to recognise and honour the achievements of our members. We'll be celebrating the strengths, resilience and contributions of women in society. Together as women we can contribute to make a meaningful difference in communities.”
