Drip founder Lekau Sehoana has denied allegations that he and his family were recently evicted from their home in Waterfall Estate due to failure to pay monthly rentals.
Zimoja reported a court application filed by Waterfall Residents Developments at the South Gauteng high court earlier this year corroborated the allegations.
In a statement shared with TshisaLIVE, however, Lekau said the report was factually incorrect and was an attempt to divert public attention from Drip's five-year celebration.
“I have not lived with my soon-to-be ex-wife since 2021, and I have no access to my son. I was renting the property for my soon-to-be ex-wife to provide a home for my son,” he said.
“I was previously notified by the landlord that police sought access to the property to seek her assistance with investigations into the murder of Drip's former MD Ms Glenda Ndlanzi. When police arrived at the property, they found she had sub-let the property to people I do not know without the landlord's consent, a total breach of the lease agreement. It is for the above-stated reason that I decided to cancel the lease agreement.”
Lekau revealed his divorce was still under way despite his attempts to settle and expedite it.
