Entertainer Vulela Ma'Weekend claims to have been scammed.

Molifi Nakedi, popularly known as Vulela Ma'Weekend, was booked at Prestige Lifestyle Grand in Mbombela, with Shaun Stylist, when he allegedly was scammed.

Speaking to TshisaLIVE, Vulela said it's not easy to accept such an ordeal and it's a huge setback for his career. The scammers allegedly took R22,000 from his account.

“I can't believe what happened, plus with such a huge amount, it's unbelievable. I noticed it in the morning as I was trying to send my sister money to buy groceries as it's month end. Been engaging with my bank manager to trace where my funds went,” he said.

“Some people are cruel to the core. My family is suffering due to this scam. I don't know how I will feed myself. It's already the new month and now I have to put faith in my gigs. It's another setback in the prime of my career.”

In July, scammers left  DJ Terence Molefi counting his pennies.

DJ Terence, known for his Music Box compilations, claims when he recently landed at OR Tambo International Airport after a weekend gig he started receiving notifications on his phone that money was being withdrawn from his account.

DJ Terence told TshisaLIVE he fell victim to scammers.

“After I landed at the airport I started receiving notifications from my bank, seeing withdrawals from the time I was in the air flying back to Joburg. What happened to me is a huge setback. I don't understand how it happened but the money is gone,” he said.

He declined to reveal the amount he lost but sources close to the DJ revealed R6,000 was withdrawn.

“My account is blocked. I need to contact my bank again and figure out what happened. I warn people to be careful. This thing is real and my conclusion is we live among fraudsters.”
