DJ Maphorisa has responded to calls for him to be cancelled in the entertainment industry.

This after he shot up trends lists on Tuesday for Samthing Soweto not being credited for their song Amalanga Awafani after its release. The DJ and producer went live on social media, saying Samthing Soweto did not make much effort on the song and was now bullying Mas Musiq.

Maphorisa went on to say amapiano sensation Sir Trill and Samthing Soweto were problematic when it came to the business side of the industry.

“It was recorded in my house. He owns the whole master ... if you want to cancel a person, you can cancel me, I'll bounce back. I'm strong, I believe in myself. But Mas Musiq didn't do anything in this situation. He tried his level best to drop this song, and the young man has been frustrated because Samthing Soweto doesn't know how to handle his business.

“Why we don't [have a] relationship with him is because of [his] attitude and not meeting the standard ... we have a problem of sharing — he wants to take everything.”

Samthing Soweto also took to his timeline to respond to the song being released without his knowledge.
