Longwe Twala, the son of music producer and businessman Sello “Chicco” Twala, is in hot water and has been jailed after he allegedly broke into his father’s studios while on drugs and stole equipment worth more than R200,000.

Longwe is reported to have appeared with his brother Sello in the Randburg magistrate's court on Tuesday.

Longwe is also embroiled in the murder case of soccer star Senzo Meyiwa who was killed at the  Vosloorus home of his then-girlfriend Kelly Khumalo's mother in 2014.

Chicco opened the case against his children and said that made him a responsible parent.

“The action I took now I took as a responsible parent. My son has been having problems with drugs from way back when he was about 17 years old. So now he is 39 and he is still the same. Nothing has changed. He’s been stealing from me, he’s been doing a lot of stuff. He’s been to more than 30 rehab centres. We’ve tried to assist him as a family, we tried everything we could and he doesn't want to change,” he told TimesLIVE.
