Weeks after joining e.tv's Isiphetho, actress Sindi Dlathu has started shooting on BET Africa's Queendom. The show will be aired on September 23.
The production company allegedly halted filming the series due to the alleged non-payment of cast members. Executive producer and Clive Morris Productions boss Clive Morris assured actors they will be paid their salaries in July.
Viewers have expressed their excitement about the show after a picture of Sindi on set with Mduduzi Mabaso and Linda Mtoba was shared on the social media pages of the weekday drama series.
The show also features prominent actors including former The River actress Sindi, former Uzalo actress Dawn Thandeka King and actor Pallance Dladla.
Sources said cast members are back on set and it is business as usual, but some actors had opted to leave the series.
“Of course no-one likes not being paid, and in this regard we are speaking of seasoned actors and actresses with big brands behind them. Some actors didn't take the situation lightly and some joined other casting companies due to not being paid by Clive Morris Productions,” the source said.
