Former Ukhozi FM presenter Sbu Buthelezi is set to reveal the dirt allegedly happening at the station.

On Sunday he announced on social media he will launch a book titled The Greatest Version Of Me: My Last 60 Days vs My Last 14 Years in Ukhozi FM.

Buthelezi, who made a name for himself at Ukhozi FM and Gagasi FM, has threatened to expose the shenanigans allegedly going on at the station. He took it to his social page and posted:

“We planned a seven-day Revival Summit in Durban and Joburg for September, sabuye sashintsha iPlan, instead of spending seven days in one place, we will take one night and one day moving from city to city. We apologise for not coming back to update you,” he said, before listing his plans.

“1. On Wednesday at 7pm we will release a poster with different cities, venues, dates, times, artists and speakers, esizobe sihamba nawo.

“2. We will be promoting a book, The Greatest Version Of Me: My Last 60 Days vs My Last 14 Years in Ukhozi FM. How the three station managers handled my enemies' plots to get rid of me.

“3. Will be promoting our new digital radio [and] YouTube channel, Uhambo Podcast, Listen to My Story Podcast, all under media company Universal Broadcasting Agency (Pty) Ltd. Will introduce a very powerful board with years of radio experience. Expect the biggest names ever heard on radio.

“4. We will do radio presenters' auditions in Durban and Johannesburg as we are launching a full digital radio broadcasting 24/7, which will ultimately apply for a radio licence, to be based in KwaZulu-Natal.

“5. Wait for a full interview unpacking the above on Thabani ST Media in the next two weeks.

“6. Abombuso Group is turning 10 years in October. We will reveal a new plan, new CEO, new partners and a string of businesses under its name.”

In 2022 the management of Ukhozi FM decided to terminate Buthelezi's contract with immediate effect. This followed several allegations relating to his business dealings that the radio station said brought it into disrepute

SABC media relations manager Mmoni Seapolelo said: “The SABC is not in a position to comment on a book which it has not seen”.

Efforts to get comment from Buthelezi were unsuccessful.
