Tyla wins a VMA award

The South African-born singer won the MTV Video Music Award 2024 for Best Afrobeats at Wednesday night’s ceremony at UBS Arena in Elmont, New York. She makes history as the first female African Artist, as well as the first South African artist to win a VMA.

Mihlali Ndamase in hot water AGAIN

YouTuber Mihlali Ndamase has issued an apology to the LGBTQIA+ community for using derogatory phrases during a recent live stream.

Mihlali sparked a heated debate on social media after going live on Instagram calling her ex-boyfriend Leeroy Sidambe a “double adapter”, suggesting he is bisexual. 

Solly Moholo in ICU

The family of hospitalised gospel singer Solly Moholo needs R700,000 for him to undergo brain surgery.

Last week, the artist was moved from a Botswana hospital to a South African one after he fell ill while on tour and his family have asked for financial assistance as he is in ICU.
