DT Brown's journey from a young age was driven by his passion for music. His dedication to perfecting his craft has led to a distinctive style that sets him apart.

In a recent interview with TshisaLIVE, he shared insights into his journey.

“My journey in the entertainment industry has been a mix of exploration, growth and constant evolution. It started with small, local projects that allowed me to experiment with different sounds and forms of expression. Over time, I’ve had the chance to collaborate with amazing artists and learn from every experience,” he said.

“It hasn’t always been easy, but each challenge has shaped my craft and given me a deeper understanding of who I am as an artist. This journey has been about staying true to myself while adapting and growing in an ever-changing industry.

“Artists including Kendrick Lamar, Fela Kuti and Damian Marley inspire me. Their authenticity and innovation are what I strive for. Now feels like the perfect moment. I've refined my sound and found my authentic voice. The world needs art that connects and resonates deeply.”

With catchy lyrics and meaningful messages, DT Brown's music reflects a deep understanding of life and society. He hopes to make an impact in people's lives through his music.

“Success as an artist isn’t only about charts or awards, though those can be great markers of recognition. True success lies in creating art that moves people, that sparks a conversation or leaves a lasting impact. If my work resonates with even a single person and inspires them to think or feel in a new way, then I’ve succeeded. Success is about staying true to my vision, constantly growing and making sure my work is an authentic reflection of who I am.”
