Socialite Nico Matlala is alive and well — despite rumours on social media that he had died.
Rumours that Matlala, also known as Bricklayer, had passed away from a heart attack circulated on Thursday morning.
“He had a heart attack and he was in hospital. He passed on upon arrival last night. May his soul rest in peace,” the post reads.
Matlala dismissed the claims on his TikTok page, saying: “It seems my absence on social media is bothering people to a point they even fake my death because they don't know what I am up to. This evening I’ll address people who the claims come from. I’ll address you and you won’t like it.
“[At] 6.30 today I’ll be addressing the negativity of people. Join us. Let us all destroy the negative of our nation. Our black people are now turning against each other. We are wishing [bad] things to happen in other people's lives.
“Tonight I will be addressing the people who were responding negatively about me. I was quiet. Do you want me to talk? Then I will talk.”
