The German embassy in Pretoria is excited to present a dance music industry workshop in Eswatini in conjunction with Swaziboy Entertainment, GOGO Music and Dance Music Summit (DMS).

The workshop is scheduled for October 11 and 12 in Manzini, Eswatini, and a second will be held on November 15 and 16 in Maseru, Lesotho.

The participants will have the opportunity to engage with musicians, managers and industry insiders, local and international, with notable speakers including Ralf GUM, DJ Christos, Vinny Da Vinci, Artwork Sounds and Bucie.

Speaking to TshisaLIVE, DJ Christos said this year's events promise valuable insights into the music industry for the first time outside South Africa.

“Over 15 years in the business, Swazi Boy Entertainment has been involved in providing events management, promotions and entertainment in Eswatini. It is at the core of the dance music industry in the kingdom, having hosted the biggest events there,” he said.

“The company is also responsible for the Eswatini Creators Awards and the House Musiq Festival which brings together the best performers in the country and beyond. The DMS is a skills development agency run by myself and Lady Sakhe that aims to upskill and educate anyone interested in the dance music industry.”

Ralf GUM's GOGO Music, which helps empower young artists, has held a similar workshop in South Africa. By joining forces, all parties involved are proud to be able to present valuable educational work in two new locations this year.

“The workshop is about empowerment in the music business. Education is key in everything. People need to have research about their surroundings,” added Christos.
