TV producer and socialite Tebogo Ramokgadi was one of the standout stars at SA Fashion Week.
This season, attendees were tasked with bringing back the fashion of Studio 54 with an African twist.
Heeding the call, stars and influencers rocked their take on the party-ready looks.
The fashion show took place at Melrose Arch on Thursday night and attracted some of the best in the showbiz industry, including DJ Sbu, Maps Maponyana, fashion designer Ole Ledimo and former Mrs SA Jo Judnick-Wilson.
Ramokgadi told TshisaLIVE the event is always the best week in on his calendar. “Simply be Asie I used to be a fashion stylist and worked as wardrobe person at ANN7 (news channel) for four years. This was so refreshing going to Fashion Week in South Africa. After coming back from France this year where I attended Paris Fashion Week in March,” he said.
“I was wearing Ephymol at SA Fashion Week. It's an open secret in the industry that I only wear his brand when attending big events. I attended Ephymol by Ephraim Molingane. I only wear Ephymol to high-end events. Even in Paris I wore Ephymol”.
Brat Summer has been described as so last season, but for those of us on the warmer side of the hemisphere the trend still holds appeal. While you can still capture the staple elements of the trend such as Money Badoo in neon greens and washed-out colours, you can give it an African twist with vibrant shades, bold accessories and daring cuts and crop à la DJ Doowop.
