Actress Nirvana Nokwe is expanding her influence beyond the entertainment industry, venturing into the business space with a bold vision: connecting visionary professionals, influential leaders and industry innovators to drive change.

In partnership with Stella Artois, Nokwe successfully launched The Connect Supper Club, an exclusive gathering of A-list attendees at the elegant Mamasamba venue in Rosebank.

Rapper JR Bogopa, media personality Kat Sinivasan, poet Lebo Mashile and social media star Sipho “Alphi” Mkwanazi, among others, have been guests, but she plans to take it further.

“We align people of compatible values. We call it the Tinder of business and social change. We want to make sure the right people are in the right rooms. I have a lot of friends in politics, media and business and I have a sense of who should meet who, every time that happens,” she told TshisaLIVE.

“I want to derive value from this. It will be monetary at some point. I want to introduce a new culture the way I have been able to cultivate a network of people.”

The Connect Supper Club offers a platform for inspiring discussions, networking and collaboration, paired with fine dining and sophisticated ambience.

“For a while now my intention has been to cultivate a cohesive community of influential, forward-thinking professionals dedicated to thought leadership and making a positive societal impact.”

This does not mean she's hanging up her entertainment gloves. She plans to continue dominating the small and big screens. She also hopes to go back to her first love: music.
