“In between home discharges and a new project I started, I had to stop my life, put aside my emotions and show up for my baby. At the time his health was more important than my heart. One thing we will do is enjoy the world. Faith and family was the remedy to everything. Both families understood the mandate, living and loving is what we stand on.”
In early February Cassper, during an interview with podcaster Mpoomy Ledwaba, revealed he and Thobeka had broken up and been separated for two years. He went on to marry his childhood sweetheart in April.

“My husband asked me to resign and be a housewife. He's had a crush on me since I was in grade 7. Been on and off with him since 2018.”
In an interview on the L-Tido Podcast, Cassper spoke about how different life was after becoming a Christian and getting married.
“I wanted to be an honest man. I was tired of playing games. It was time [for me] to grow up and be saved. I saw things from the right perspective and for the first time I wanted to be married. It was not about sex. I wanted to be an honest man and commit to this thing that I say I am. I am proudly married and I'm having the time of my life,” he said.

Cassper Nyovest's baby mother Thobeka has spoken about her relationship with the rapper.
Celebrating her birthday, Thobeka, who has a son with the Siyathandana hitmaker, reflected on the past few years which were difficult for her.
“Who would’ve thought I’d be here? Not in pieces but in peace. The tears that were once in silence are now from laughing out loud. I’m in awe of the goodness of God. How am I so deserving of this unconditional love, his covering and grace? Even when I was unfaithful to him, he remained faithful to me. I've always heard God is found in certain locations. I didn’t know I’d find him at my lowest and most broken,” she wrote.
Thobeka revealed at eight months her son was diagnosed with cancer and she tried to keep the matter private.
“I lived in an oncology hospital for two years with my son as he underwent chemotherapy and life-threatening surgeries. In the depth of fighting cancer I was hit with a curve ball of infidelity. The woman knew me, my son's condition, and made no mistake with flaunting their relationship.
“After finding out, he ended it with her and tried to make amends with me. I couldn’t trust someone who can hurt me at my lowest or allow another woman to disrespect his woman. Considering everything we had been through, it was more of the timing than the infidelity. He later married her.
