Rumour has it BET presenter Nomalanga Shozi might be expecting her second child.
Shozi sparked the rumours of her being pregnant at the Steve Madden event and at the 18th annual South African Film and Television Awards (Safta) at the Gallagher Convention Centre as she appeared to have a baby bump.
A source close to the vibrant presenter said: “The writing is on the wall, she’s pregnant and you’ll see she’ll vanish from the public like the first time when she was expecting her firstborn. The truth is that she can’t hide that any further, she’ll be left with an option of hiding herself from the public eye.”
Another source said: “She’s wearing baggy coats and dresses to hide the baby bump, just to avoid the questions of the pregnancy. We’re watching the space; soon she’ll vanish from the public due to her pregnancy.”
When contacted for comment, Shozi didn’t confirm or deny the allegations. “As women, we go through changes with our bodies, but I never thought that might spark pregnancy rumours. I think it’s fair if I don’t comment.”
In 2022, Nomalanga was glowing at her baby shower, speaking not only about a gender reveal but also about parenting with Major League's Bandile Mbere.
“In terms of being mom and dad, it’s a new one for us but, like they say in this industry, ‘next script, please’. We’ll just get into it, put our backs into it, and do our best to make each of you proud. Our baby is so happy, she’s been kicking,” she said at the time.
