Influencer Oscar Mbo was scheduled to perform at the Yebo God Summer event on November 2 at Noko Resort in Limpopo with top artists, but two days before the event it was called off.

It is understood Noko Resort and Oscar's team had a lengthy meeting about the event and his performance at the venue and took a joint decision to cancel.

TshisaLIVE caught up with the founder of Noko Resort Jerry Ramodike.

“We received threats about his inclusion in the line-up and we had to meet to discuss a way forward as people's lives would be endangered if we proceed. We had to put the lives of our patrons first and not the profit. Oscar's team was understanding about the circumstances we faced,” said Jerry.

“We still need to sit down and discuss a later date for the event but I can't comment whether he'll be in the line-up. The situation is still sensitive."”

TshisaLIVE tried to contact Oscar's team for comment but they were unavailable.
