The 30th annual South African Music Awards (Samas) crowned the crème de la crème of the music industry at the Gallagher convention centre on Saturday. 

Tyla won three awards, including Best Pop Album and Ukhozi FM Female Artist of the Year, while Kabza De Small and Mthunzi took home Best Amapiano Album and Sampra Album of the Year.

Afro-pop phenomenon Lwah Ndlunkulu was beaming with pride after earning Best Afro-Pop Album for Imizwa, and Record of the Year with Mthandeni for their chart-topping collaboration Paris.  

“Winning these awards is a dream come true. Imizwa and Paris are both very important to me, and I am extremely grateful to my fans, team, and the Samas for believing in my music. Thank you for allowing me to share my story through the songs,” she said.
