The South African entertainment industry is mourning the loss of legendary US music producer, composer and musician Quincy Jones.

Quincy died aged 91 on Sunday night at his home in Bel Air, Los Angeles, surrounded by his family.

Known for his iconic collaborations with Michael Jackson, Miles Davis and Frank Sinatra, Quincy is remembered for the indelible mark he left in the music industry.

Mzansi celebs have taken to their social media pages to pay tribute to him.

Former record label owner and ANC Gauteng secretary Thembinkosi “TK” Nciza shared a picture of him with the late star and DJ Sbu on his Instagram stories, writing: “RIP Quincy Jones, the best to ever do it.”

“You made history, you changed this game, you inspired many of us,” Arthur Mafokate wrote.
