Socialite Jabu Stone back with innovative method to revive hair industry
Businessman and socialite Jabu Stone is making waves with his innovative strategy to plough back into the hair industry through his financial insurer.
The royalty of the hair industry has been in the field for three decades and has teamed up with King Price to revive his hair industry interests.
Speaking to TshisaLIVE, Stone said he had identified a gap and an opportunity in the current state of the salon business across the country.
"What I'm doing is circling the money in the hair industry and beneficiaries are the salon operators, as I've travelled across [provinces] and seen a gap where operators are demoralised as passion gets derailed because hair products are no longer getting the attention they deserve.
"I've come up with a method which will keep the passion in the hair industry alive," he said.
Stone added: "I've seen a gap and have teamed up with King Price in making a difference in the hair industry, salon operators need to WhatsApp or go to our website their challenges that they're facing in their salon in order to make the lives of their clients better, like already we've given out massage machines (for feet while you getting your hair done) through these financial insurer.
"I mean I've been in this thing for years, so I know what I'm talking about. This method is about making the lives of the client better and the industry better," he said.
TshisaLIVE has learnt that Jabu Stone launched a black soap for Afro and braids, and he is putting the final touches to his hair industry legacy.
In recent years, the hair market has experienced a resurgence in consumer demand for natural hair-care products and styles, and niche salons have mushroomed as a result. This is a global trend premised on conscious hair care.
