Cassper Nyovest has penned a heartfelt note to his childhood sweetheart Pulane when celebrating her 31st birthday.

The rapper shared precious moments they spent together when reflecting on their love journey.

“Happy birthday to my chomie, lover, friend aka Ous Mpopi. Watseba ha ke tshwere wena. Ha ke shorte sepe (because I have you, I am short of nothing). I can’t believe I’m a whole husband to someone witsi (you know) I never ever thought I would get married willingly mara watseba (but you know),” he wrote.

“But here we are, with a crazy love story that only we know and understand, creating a life together, getting to know God together and just taking one step at a time. Dude I love you so much and I want to thank you for the choices that you have made to afford us a fair chance. You saw a man in me that I didn’t see in myself and I want to honour you every day of my life.”

In early February Cassper, during an interview with podcaster Mpoomy Ledwaba, revealed he and Thobeka Majozi had broken up and had been separated for two years. He went on to marry his childhood sweetheart in April.

During a Q&A session on her Instagram story, Pulane was asked how she feels about people saying she wasn't supposed to be the wife.

“OK, then who was? And why didn't he marry them?” she responded.

“My husband asked me to resign and be a housewife. He's had a crush on me since I was in grade 7. Been on and off with him since 2018.”

In an interview on the L-Tido Podcast, Cassper spoke about how different life was after becoming a Christian and getting married.

“I wanted to be an honest man. I was tired of playing games. It was time [for me] to grow up and be saved. I saw things from the right perspective and for the first time I wanted to be married. It was not about sex, I wanted to be an honest man and commit to this thing that I say I am. I am proudly married and I'm having the time of my life,” he said.
