Kwezi Ndlovu-Mbambo has broken her silence on speculation about her nuptials.
At the weekend the actress hosted an intimate Lobola celebration with close family and friends after tying the knot with Durban businessman Sibongiseni Mageza Mbambo, who is also the father of her twins.
News of her marriage was soon laced with gloom after rumours circulated that her husband was already married.
Kwezi took to her Instagram stories saying this was a first for him and her.
“For clarity, my husband to be is not married and has not been married before. Our respective families and our children are excited about our journey as it is a first for both families, we're both grateful for the strong foundation of love and unity our families are building alongside us. We look forward to the continued growth of our family,” she wrote.
“I'd also like to clear up some rumours. I have never snatched a man from any of my friends. Tina Mbambo is my best friend and she is happily married to her husband. My husband and Tina's husband are brothers, which makes this moment special for us as close friends.”
Kwezi expressed gratitude to those who have showered her with well-wishes.
“This new chapter has already been so joyful and meaningful and I am truly blessed to be surrounded by such incredible support. For those who may not know, I am proudly half Xhosa and honouring my mother's lineage was an important part of this beautiful journey. Embracing my cultural roots has always been significant to me, so as our wedding preparations continue I look forward to sharing more of the vibrant and diverse traditions that make up my lineage.”
