BLACK COFFEE TO OPEN MUSIC COLLEGE

Grammy Award-winning DJ Black Coffee is planning to establish a music college.

Speaking at a media briefing held at Arena Holdings in Parktown, Johannesburg, on Friday before heading to his Black Coffee Foundation's “Honest Conversation” event, he said the project was close to his heart.

RADIO HOST and DJ, DJ FRESH TO RETURN TO RADIO

Former Metro FM breakfast host DJ Fresh is getting ready for a comeback on SABC radio. Last week, during the Black Coffee Foundation event at Arena Holdings, the “Big Dawg” told TshisaLIVE he is excited about his return to radio.

The DJ, whose real name is Thato Sikwane, was on the books of Primedia's 947 when he and Themba Nkosi, aka Euphonik, were accused of rape by an unidentified woman. This resulted in the duo parting ways with 947.

Recently we’ve been hearing Fresh on his WAW What A Week podcast on YouTube where he talks to comedians, sports stars, celebrities and “know-it-alls”.

MEDIA PERSONALITY MASECHABA NDLOVU SAYS “I DO”

The media personality gave her followers a sneak peek at her wedding day.

She recently revealed her she and her partner, singer Ntethelelo Faku, who she has a son with, had made things official.

She shared precious moments with her family showcasing love, laughter and joy at her traditional wedding.

Masechaba, who stunned in a traditional wedding gown, reflected on her journey with her partner.

“I married my best friend, now my husband. My chief strategist, my lover, my life. Lukhanyo's father, ndiyakuthanda (I love you). Ndiyabulela (thank you) Faku, Nyawuza, Mpondo. As we embark on this journey together, may no weapon formed against us prosper. This was the happiest day of my life. I love you Ntethe, and I look forward to spending the rest of my life with you. To God be the glory,” she wrote.

Her saying I do garnered some shade on the TL, with many shading the number of times she has been married and some even drawing a timeline. It's alleged she has been married three times.

CHIDIMMA ADETSHINA STEPS AWAY FROM PAGEANTS

Adetshina has revealed her decision to step away from beauty pageants.

This after she was crowned the runner-up to Denmark's Victoria Kjær Theilvig at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant in Mexico.

Adetshina expressed her desire to focus on her studies.

“I am putting pageants to bed. I'm going to focus more on my education and establishing who Chidimma is. More into runways. So many things I would like to touch on and see where my potential can go to,” she said in an interview with BBC News Pidgin.

“I'm glad it's all done so I can focus on myself and my mental health. I think that's important for me.”

She said her pageantry journey has not been easy.

MASHOBANE BARRED FROM ATTENDING DAD'S FUNERAL

Convicted criminal William Mbatha, also known as the “King of Bling” or “Mashobane” has been denied permission to attend the funeral of his late father, football legend Lucas “Masterpieces” Moripe, because he’s a high-risk prisoner.

Mbatha was sentenced to a total of 123 years, with 35 years running concurrently, at Kokstad maximum prison for a series of crimes, including robbery with aggravating circumstances, kidnapping, possession of firearms and ammunition, impersonating a police officer and unlawfully wearing a police uniform.

Moripe, a former player for Pretoria Callies and Orlando Pirates, died on November 19 at Kalafong Hospital in Tshwane at the age of 71. In his prime, Moripe was one of the most feared midfield maestros in South African football and was often referred to as “Modimo wa Bolo” (the “God of Football”).

PASTOR MBORO BEARS HIS CROSS ... LITERALLY

In a video that has since gone viral on social media, pastor Paseka “Mboro” Motsoeneng was seen carrying a large cross on his back. Mboro said the cross was a symbol of both spiritual redemption and strength in facing life's challenges after his arrest. “We were far away from God, but He brought us closer through the blood of Jesus, through the cross. All injustices, all diseases were on Him on the cross.” he said. Mboro is facing charges that include kidnapping, possession of dangerous weapons and assault, stemming from an incident at Matshidiso Primary School in Katlehong.
