Actor Mlungisi Duncan has landed a role in Mzansi Magic's My Brother's Keeper.
Mlungisi is not new to TV screens, having previously starred in drama series such as Isibaya, Gomora, Uzalo and Generations.
In My Brother's Keeper he'll play the role of Ananeus, a vibrant personality and a thug with a big heart. He’s loyal to those in his circle and will go to any lengths to protect those he considers family.
“It was easy moulding in the character because I'm used to playing gangster characters,” Mlungisi told TshisaLIVE. “I had to make sure this one is better than the others I've played. I had to spice it up with being a bhinca, so this character was a bit scary.”
The reception from his fellow cast members was great and it was easy to act with them as they had a common goal, he said.
“I promise my fans the fire is coming and [I will] do justice to this character, but the character is very scary.”
Mzansi Magic publicist Irvin Pooe said: “The character was raised in the streets where he had to make a family for himself when he no longer had room at his grandmother’s house. He’s naturally bright and given the opportunities, he’d have made it far in life.”
