DJ LeSoul plans to fly the South African flag high when she relocates to the US.
The house DJ, whose real name is Nonkululeko Mdlalose, from KwaMashu, north of Durban, has been in the game for more than a decade and was a presenter on Gagasi FM before taking part in international gigs such as Tomorrowland, Friendship Cruise and Amsterdam Dance Event.
The artist told TshisaLIVE she's excited to be taking to the world stage full-time as next month she'll be saying goodbye to her loved ones and local fans.
“I've had exponential growth in the past years, rubbing shoulders with industry greats and topping charts with Afrocentric tunes, so this will bridge the local and international gap for all musicians. I'm set to spend a lot [more] time away from the country than before,” she said.
“I am now going to take things to the next level, collaborating in business with international heavyweights and entering the technology space. This move is a leap of faith and I am looking forward to expanding my brand on the international stage.
“This decision didn't come easy as I had to think about it for months, but the time is now. I'm relocating for music.”
