The highly anticipated eighth annual Drakensberg Extravaganza Music Experience takes centre stage on December 14 at Woodstock Dam, Bergville.
The festival will feature a line-up of renowned local and international artists across diverse genres including gqom, amapiano, maskandi, Afrobeat, pop and hip-hop.
Headliners include Mthandeni SK, Dlala Thukzin, Blaq Diamond, DJ Happygal, Sphectacula & Naves and Selbeyonce Mkhize alongside rising stars and fan favourites who will be announced in the coming days.
Due to renovations at the Bergville Sports Complex, organisers have announced the event will move to the Woodstock Dam picnic site, which offers ample space, top-notch facilities and breathtaking views. The dam is located about 10 minutes from the old venue. There will be marshals to direct patrons to the dam.
Event organiser Sipho Ndaba of Drakensberg Productions said: "We’re thrilled to bring back the Drakensberg Extravaganza Music Experience this year, bigger and better than ever. It’s a celebration of music, culture and community — and we can’t wait to welcome festival-goers for an unforgettable weekend."
Attendees can also look forward to ample and safe parking, food and beverage vendors and clean ablution facilities.
