A heartfelt tribute to Mampintsha left his wife Babes Wodumo overcome with emotion at the 10th annual INK Kasi Xperience at Princess Magogo Stadium in KwaMashu.

Big Nuz member Mandla “Mampintsha” Maphumulo was set to take the stage at the event in December 2022, but his life was cut short when he was suddenly rushed to the hospital, where he passed away just days later due to complications from a minor stroke.

On Sunday, event organiser Philani Splash honoured the late star with a portrait during Babes' performance.

“This event has grown so much. We decided to honour Mampintsha because we've seen before how much he loves the people of this event.”

Babes was brought to tears when accepting the gesture.

“I felt his presence,” Babes told TshisaLIVE.

“When I saw the portrait, I couldn't hold back the tears and started crying. My knees were weak.”
