Lasizwe Dambuza has checked into a mental health wellness facility.

In a candid Instagram post, he said despite his successful YouTube career, he has been facing challenges in his personal life.

Lasizwe thanked his siblings for their support and expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to take a break and recharge.

“I’ve successfully checked myself into a mental health wellness centre. It’s been a beautiful long year. Time to rest, recharge and reflect. My team will be taking over my social media accounts after this post as the show has to go on (Awkward Dates and Social Media Campaigns) and they confiscate phones here. (Literally the nurse is standing next to me waiting for me to finish posting so she can take away my phone),” he wrote.

“Also thank you to my siblings! Thank you for dropping me off here and holding my hand during the check-in process! The Sweerie, Bo Makothi I’ll see you guys when I am out and refreshed! I love you!”

In November 2021, Lasizwe, who has been open about his struggles with mental health, revealed that he had checked himself into a mental health wellness facility to manage his depression and anxiety.

“I'm checking myself into a mental wellness centre. I'm going on a mental wellness retreat because I suffer from depression and anxiety. This is very overwhelming for me, and I want to be present. I want to be surrounded by doctors, psychologists, peace and nature to help me process this milestone.”
