Tzozo has condemned the recent trend of festivalgoers throwing bottles at performers.

The Kwaito star said some musicians have been experiencing robust attacks from festivalgoers while they're performing on stage.

On December 27, at Amcor Dam in Newcastle, music fans threw bottles and paper cups on stage, preventing artists from performing. On January 4 during the Mthandeni Summer Experience held at eMdletsheni in KZN,l frustrated fans also disrupted singer Naledi Aphiwe by throwing bottles and plastic cups on stage.

Speaking to TshisaLIVE, Thokozani Zulu, aka Tzozo, said it's very disturbing what artists and DJs have been experiencing from  their fans.

“Artists go to these events to entertain people and bring joy, not to harm them. I'm failing to understand why people should harm musicians,” he said.

Tzozo hosted Umgababa New Year Picnic last week Friday; the event attracted thousands of people from across KZN.

“My event went well and we didn't expect such incidents. If people feel they'll be dissatisfied they mustn't purchase tickets, rather than acting barbarically towards artists.
