Media personality Nestum is making a return to the limelight.
Nestum, who real name is Zanele Nyakale-Peterson, was 15 when she came to prominence as part of the group Abashante. She has been part of SABC's Lesedi FM for 15 years and hosts the weekday show Imatlafatse.
Speaking to TshisaLIVE, the 45-year-old said she has been focused on building herself to be one of the best DJs.
“I have been focused on being the best businesswoman as I have been running one of the best-known car washes in Mapetla in Soweto [Bigza's Car Wash]. Besides business, I concentrate on being the best mother to my two boys, aged 20 and 10,” she said.
“I thought I wouldn't have the interest to come back again but the main reason [is] I still have a lot to offer and still have what it takes. God and my ancestors played a big role for me to come back to the limelight.”
Nestum said her fans can expect a lot from her because the transformation is huge.
“I am so unpredictable. Recently I took part as an MC at the All White Kwaito Experience, which was a continuation from The Road to Nkalakatha Mandoza experience at the Soweto Theatre last year. All kwaito experiences show the industry I am the last original woman standing in the kwaito music world.”
