Influencer, author and reality TV star Kefilwe Mabote has opened up about what she describes as “one of the most freeing and therapeutic things I’ve ever done”.

Kefilwe went on social media burning several Versace items, particularly those adorned with the iconic Medusa logo.

In candid videos shared on her Instagram stories, she said the act symbolised her shedding of idols that had unknowingly taken root in her heart.

“Burning the Medusa face was about breaking down the idols I had unknowingly built in my heart, the things that distracted me from fully walking with Jesus,” she said.

The luxury influencer, known for her love of high-end fashion, said her values and sense of identity were once deeply tied to the material world.

Her recent experiences have led her to a profound spiritual awakening.

“My worth is found in Christ alone. The next time I own something luxurious it will simply be an item (not a reflection of my identity or my purpose). I’m learning to let Him shape me according to His will, not the ever-changing expectations of culture.”

Kefilwe said her journey has been marked by significant challenges.

“My journey of deliverance was not easy. It came with deep sacrifice, prayer and fasting. For three months of fasting for deliverance, some days with no food and others with only water, I fought to break free from soul ties and casting out the spiritual baggage that had taken root in my life from my first marriage at a young age.”

In a clear message to those seeking her attention for superficial reasons, she said: “To those wealthy men with no souls, I am not your candidate! I humbly ask you to stop sending me 'can I get to know you' DMs and unsend those messages before I expose you all.”

She also urged women to be cautious in their relationships, highlighting the importance of spiritual discernment when engaging with others.

“Spiritual spouses are real (incubus and succubus). Their assignment is to steal, kill and destroy. Screen the people you allow into your life with discernment,” she warned.

Kefilwe also addressed the consequences of casual relationships and their spiritual implications.

“Life is deeply spiritual and we often underestimate the consequences of casual relationships. Sleeping around isn’t just physical; it opens doors to spiritual exchanges we don’t fully understand,” she said.

For Kefilwe, the journey to spiritual freedom is priceless.

“My soul, peace and spiritual freedom is far more important than anything now and I fought so hard to gain everything back.”

She called for self-reflection, urging everyone to protect their souls and be mindful of who they connect with emotionally and physically.

“The spiritual world is real and every action carries weight. May we all strive to walk in the light of truth and keep our spirits pure,” she said.
