Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Melusi Buthelezi is having papgeld woes with two of his baby mamas over child maintenance.

The women took him to maintenance court after saying they had had enough of what as they described as “excuses of not supporting his offspring”.

The Pirates player was supposed to be at the Randburg magistrate's court on Thursday but didn't pitch, sending his lawyer to the maintenance hearing.

According to Baby Mama 1, Buthelezi doesn't acknowledge his parental duties. “He’s now supposed to pay R5,000 on or before the end of each month, but he’s always late on payment. Never pays on time. Now he’s supposed to increase that to meet the needs of the child, but he's refusing,” she said.

She continues: “What's sad is that he is posting his luxurious lifestyle [on social media] while he can't support his child. I mean, this is disappointing.”

Baby Mama 2 took to YouTube to express how she feels about Buthelezi's parental duties, as the player is alleged to also not be supporting her child.

When called for comment, the Bucs shot-stopper said: “I am taken to court because my baby mama wants R12,000 maintenance and I can't afford it. I know the lady from YouTube, I have children with her.”
