Metro FM will visit Bet Shalom Christian School in Polokwane on Friday as part of its back-to-school campaign.

According to Metro FM's Matlapulana Ragoasha, “school can have its own challenges and our presence gives them a glimpse of colour that school is cool and learning is fun”.

The approach to motivate the children is different. Children want to be seen and reminded that they are special and loved.

“We have become a group of adults and uncles and aunts that the children trust and value. Us making them cool by bringing the coolest breakfast show on the coolest station makes them the coolest and best children. It’s a morale booster that surpasses the child and becomes a bragging moment for the whole school,” she said.

The Metro FM back-to-school campaign earlier made stops at Waterkloof Primary School in Rustenburg, Northcliff Primary School in Johannesburg and St Dominic Priory School in Gqeberha.

Best Morning presenter DJ Sabby, aka Sabelo Mtshali, said their winter blanket drive is coming up as a show.

“We started it last year and we seek to have it as our annual campaign as #BestMornings. We will be in Mpumalanga on May 3. I have a music video for my single Shelele featuring Loki and LMK dropping soon. More music in the pipeline this year,” he said.

“More amazing breakfast radio for the nation on Metro FM and continue to grow and dominate on the radio. More TV, launching a podcast soon, and some fun collaborations with brands, plus some exciting business ventures I'm embarking on this year.”
